Cormac has a Plastics/Manufacturing Engineering background and strives to apply his abilities in ways that will benefit society. Environmental issues are of high interest, which ties well with the exciting opportunity to create a system to help the North Atlantic Right Whale survive. He has worked in the medical device field for the last few years, and has always had an affinity towards environmental conservation.
Lauren is an electrical engineer who specializes in sensor development and photovoltaic technologies. She has experience building organizations from the ground up and bridging communication gaps between diverse stakeholders. A life-long environmentalist, she is committed to leveraging technology in the service of society.
Ted has a Software Development and Hardware Electronics Engineering background. He is passionate about using his software and electronics expertise to drive projects of high impact and ecological conservation. Ted has worked with a variety of software development frameworks and rapid- prototyping technologies in artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotics, controls, and distributed systems.
Alec’s background is in criminal justice. He enjoys spending time in nature, especially hiking and fishing. Alec is passionate about animals and their effect on their ecosystem and the environment as a whole. Through his involvement in this project he is hoping to have a positive effect on the right whale population, as well as help to advance technology to benefit ocean life as a whole.
Mikaela’s background is in accounting and finance in public, private, and non-profit organizations. She specifically has experience with grant accounting, budgeting, and reporting and contributed to that aspect of this project. Mikaela has an MBA with a concentration in Environmental Managements and Clean Energy and Sustainability.
